KEYLINE: computer keys, MIDI and practice setup

A device-focused guide to separating game input, browser permission and audio delay.

Use the demo to understand the screen

Computer-keyboard demo mode is the quickest way to inspect falling notes without configuring a physical instrument. It is not a full-range piano and should not be used as a substitute for evaluating real MIDI performance. Start the introduction, check which key corresponds to a note and try a short repeated passage before entering a long tour.

Connect an instrument deliberately

Web MIDI requires a supporting browser and HTTPS. Power the keyboard, connect it and then select the device. Read the permission result and last-note indicator separately: permission being allowed does not prove an instrument sent a note. If reconnecting interrupts a song, the game pauses and requires a deliberate resume.

A missing device can be caused by hardware, system routing or browser support. Investigate those before changing rhythm calibration. Real hardware must be tested with the actual instrument; automated computer-keyboard input does not demonstrate compatibility with every piano.

Change one source of delay at a time

The input path and the audio output path can add different delays. Keep the same passage, instrument and output device while changing one calibration option. If you change the song, browser, headphones and calibration together, the next result will not explain which change helped. This guide does not publish an invented millisecond figure for your setup.

Use Practice for a manageable repeat, then choose Quick Play or World Tour for the next goal. Profiles and progress are browser-local. Include the device model and whether its note indicator worked when contacting support. The English game interface and credited track sources remain part of the current integration.
