Make the decision explicit before taking a turn
Strategy in this collection includes decisions under different kinds of pressure. Gridiron Countdown puts score, field position, downs and the final clock into a single drive. Battleship combines incomplete row/column information with limited sonar and ammunition. Mancala uses sowing routes, extra turns and captures. Sky Garden asks you to protect gardens through storms with shared resources. Before acting, state what the turn must achieve. Are you buying time, obtaining information, creating another turn or protecting the next wave? That makes the result easier to evaluate. A locally good action, such as gaining a few yards or collecting seeds, can be poor when it consumes the resource the final objective needs. Separate information from execution. Thinking does not spend Gridiron Countdown’s game clock. Battleship’s missing intelligence should not be treated as a zero. In Mancala, the landing pit changes whether you gain a turn or capture. Read the visible rule rather than assuming every strategy title shares the same turn model. Compare decisions in the same situation and record the consequence you expected. A single favourable result does not establish a universal winning tactic. Use each game’s current help and input prompts, and report a suspected error with the board or clock state before the action. The category descriptions do not claim statistical win rates or full-game benchmarks that have not been measured.
