Huss's Valley
Cross the field with a route in mind
Dashfield Escape, also presented in-game as Huss’s Valley, is a meadow chase game. The portal keeps its established dashfield-escape URL so saved links continue to work. Your task is to cross to the opposite safe zone while reacting to several kinds of chaser. Three lives and repeated crossings give the run its pressure; this is not a race against a published fixed completion time.
Read the warning lines before an attack. A chaser committing to a lunge opens a different route from one still turning toward you. Let a missed attack pass, then use its recovery to cross the line rather than chasing a small optional advantage in the same crowded patch. A dash is most useful when you already know which reachable opening it will carry you through.
Safe zones are a transition, not a hiding strategy
Reaching safety gives you a chance to orient for the next crossing. It does not turn waiting forever into a winning tactic: safe-zone stays produce a warning and then force outward movement. Use that interval to look at the field and decide which side gives more room. Do not rely on holding reverse input to remain in the zone.
Practise one crossing with controlled direction changes before trying to extend a record. A last-second change can send you back into a path an enemy has already predicted. If a run ends, identify whether the failure came from entering a warning line, spending the dash too early or choosing an exit with no space beyond it. Those are different problems and need different adjustments.
Controls, records and accessible settings
The game offers keyboard and touch interaction; follow the on-screen bindings for the current build. Keep the movement control active inside the game and release it before navigating away. Pause is also triggered when the page loses focus, becomes hidden or changes orientation, and resuming is deliberate. Sound, music and calm mode have separate settings; music starts off.
Best crossing count and longest survival are independent local records. A personal best in one does not imply a best in the other. Blocked or corrupt storage falls back to memory, so play can continue without promising that records will persist. The game makes no account or payment requirement. When reporting a problem, distinguish the portal loading screen from an in-game pause or collision; that helps us reproduce the correct stage.
