How this portal distinguishes original work and adaptations

Concrete examples of source credits, visual changes, local delivery and honest limitations.

A shared portal does not mean one authorship claim

The collection includes locally made games and integrations of open-source projects. An original cover or a translated landing page does not transfer ownership of an upstream game. Open-source licenses and modification notices remain linked through the site’s license page and release files. We avoid describing the entire collection as wholly authored from scratch.

Three different kinds of work

Amber Bay adapts the Apache-2.0 project Neon Mayhem, retaining its world and missions while changing vehicle styling, palettes and locally generated environment textures. Its README records the specific work rather than claiming that a new colour scheme is a new underlying engine.

Junk Magnet preserves an MIT-licensed upstream solo game, workshop and touch behaviour. The portal adds local delivery and a source-checked boot bridge, with optional upstream analytics disabled. Jetdash instead reimplements a credited MIT core mechanic in local Canvas scenes, input and Web Audio. These examples describe different scopes of authorship, not a quality ranking.

What a release check can prove

Source rules and regression tests can check particular decisions. Package checks can verify that required files arrived. A browser launch can show that a game started on one setup. None of those alone proves every level, every physical controller, every mobile device or the legal status of every possible asset.

We keep gameplay claims tied to the checked-in implementation and ask for reproducible feedback. Content updates should explain changed behaviour, preserve relevant licenses and avoid publishing screenshots as evidence of untested features. If you identify a rights concern, send the exact page, material and basis for your claim through Contact; do not assume that an open-source code license covers every external image or music track.
